After exploring Belgrade for a few days we decided to explore the Western part of Serbia- Tara National Park and some other smaller cities en-route for an overnight trip. Perhaps... read more one of our best decisions as not only did we see the Serbian countryside, we also met with Nicola, our tour guide who truly made this trip very memorable. Nicola, apart from being extremely knowledgeable, is a very kind and warm person, extremely engaging and relatable. He understood where our interests lie (local culture and food) and ensured he included that in the mix of activities we did while we were him for those two days. I am a curious traveler and Nicola patiently answered all our questions highlighting history, culture, architecture, flora-fauna, etc. I have travelled extensively and rarely have I met someone with such diverse knowledge and passion.
A big THANK YOU to Nicola for sharing his knowledge with us, for showing us a side of the country which we otherwise would have missed (and regretted!), for being an amazing travel buddy! If you are visiting Serbia, I’d strongly recommend connecting with Nicola!
PS: Nicola is a great photographer 🙂

We had lovely time with Miroslav showing us around, explaining about everything which came our way including the sightseeing options. He introduced us to some delectable Serbian cuisines, which my family enjoyed thoroughly. Being vegetarians, we have very limited options, but still he helped us with lot of options. Thanks a lot!!!

Excellent Belgrade Private Tour - Excellent day spent in the company of private tour guide, Nikola, exploring the various sights in and around Belgrade.
We booked the 4-5 hour tour of Belgrade and were picked... read more up from our apartment by Nikola in a rental minibus at 10 on Friday morning; 8 hours later, we retired to our apartment, exhausted but exhilarated by a fascinating and stimulating day touring around Belgrade and its suburbs.
Our tour guide was Nikola and he kept us entertained and engaged throughout the day with a seemingly endless array of anecdotes and historical insights into Belgrade and Serbia. He was very friendly, spoke excellent English and was great company; the hours flew by.
We toured around various sights (St Sava temple, Topcider Park, Zemun, central Belgrade, Kalemegdan Forest) and stopped off for coffee and later for lunch at a delicious Zemun fish restaurant on the banks of the Danube. All in glorious sunshine !!
We ran out of energy long before Nikola did !!
Fabulous day, engaging host, highly recommended and, certainly, value for money.
October 30, 2019Danube boating trip was my favourite, spectacular view of the mountains both sides. One of my best experience in the whole trip. We also been to iron gate, reminded me... read more the Game of Thrones Iron gate Castle.

I was incredibly fortunate to come across Belgrade Private Tours in advance of my visit to Serbia, and even more fortunate that due to the COVID slowdown, Nikola was available... read more on short notice to guide me for two days in and around Belgrade, and also on a Panonia private tour to the Kovilj Monasterty, Novid Sad, Sremski Karlovci, and a fantastic local winery, among other sites.
Simply put, Nikola is a master host, and the title of "guide" does not even begin to capture his many talents, including his seemingly endless knowledge of history, language, and politics, among many other disciplines. Having traveled throughout the Balkans on prior occasions, I can honestly say that I came away with a far better understanding of this complex region in my two days spent with Nikola than I did in weeks of independent travel. In fact, Nikola even provided great insights into places I had visited on my own years earlier in Croatia, Montenegro, and Slovenia!
And while Nikola provides vital context to Serbia's centuries of history at the crossroads of the Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian Empires, it's not all history and politics. My tours with Nikola were great fun much like time spent with a good friend, as we shared meals and coffees along the way, and chatted about life in modern Serbia, the Balkans conflict of the 1990s, and many other topics. And to top it all off, Nikola was kind enough to snap pictures along the way and email them to me when I got home!
In sum, a tour with Nikola is an absolute no brainer if he is available (and that is a big if, as he regularly guides international and Serbian groups throughout the Balkans and Europe). You simply cannot cover as much ground or material on your own, and it is great fun to travel through Serbia with a guy as fun and knowledgeable as Nikola, all for a price that is far too reasonable. Contacting Nikola is the best decision you will make on your trip to Serbia!
August 17, 2020When we chose Serbia for this trip, none of us had an idea how good it will be. Few friends’ suggestions Google was the only help. A call with... read more Mr. Nichola gave more clarity . He and Ms. Ana designed a 10 days itinerary according to our convenience. Places to visit and places for stay were their suggestions. Mr. Vlada was assigned as our tour guide. A person with thorough knowledge about history and terrain of the country. He took care of us throughout , chose the local food for us to taste and made these 10 days easy for us. All together a very professional approach. Serbia became one of our favorite places after this. Thanks to Nichola and Vlada for making this trip a memorable one. I will recommend strongly Nikolo and his crew for who all loved to visit Serbia . They are a 100 percent reliable team .

October 18, 2021Discovering Serbia was so much fun with the fantastic team of Belgrade private tour. We explored Eastern Serbia on the Resava tour and Northern Serbia on the Pannonia tour over... read more 2 days with our wonderful friend Nikola.
From the natural beauty of the caves and waterfalls to the quaint towns and rich architecture, Serbia has so much to offer and, staying true to his name, Nikola was the best person to discover this land with. He unfolded the history of the region and his stories of the socio-economic, political, linguistic and other influences of the places captured our imagination. His in-depth knowledge, varied passions and diverse world experiences came through in our conversations.
We also enjoyed the delicious local cuisine and have become kaymak lovers for life! You definitely should not miss wine tasting too with vibrant Vera at her family winery in Sremski Karlovci.
We encountered quite the weather spectrum in December but come sun, rain, wind or snow, Nikola's enthusiasm was on point.. always accommodating and making sure we get the best experience during the trip.. pictures, souvenirs, sweets, hot coffee.. he ensured we got it all..!
Travel is just as much about the people as the place.. so thanks to Ana who communicated and organized everything so well, to the warm welcome we received from Vlada and especially to Nikola, with whom we loved exploring this beautiful country! Definitely recommend this team and hope to visit again..
